There were teachers and children with feelings of racism. I had to face up a lot of problems and stand many humiliations in order to get an education. The memory of that period still fills my heart with pain.

We came with my mum and my sister from Bulgaria. I had strange feelings of happiness and sorrow at the same time. During my first years at the primary school, my teacher did not help me a lot in learning the language and I did not feel very well. Now, in high school everything is better, I have lots of friends and I really love Greece.
Ivellina is 15 years old from Bulgaria. She attends the night school so as to learn the Greek language and goes to secondary school every morning, too.
